What's in a name?

We seriously appreciate the extra website traffic we're receiving thanks to the recent visit of the Queen. But while it's great to have her in town, we probably should make it clear that we are not associated with her or her family. Look: they're not bad people but to be honest we have little in common (apart from maybe an appreciation of small animals and an ongoing desire to mess with the psychological stability of family members).

But people often ask us about the origins of our company name, The Royals, so here are a few influences that drew us to it a few years ago, and again in its recent relaunched incarnation...

1. The Royal Tenenbaums (IMDB): a wonderful Wes Anderson joint showcasing a family chock full of eccentricity, pulled together (sometimes) by an odd form of bonding and creative diversity.

2. The Majestics Car Club (link): people united by a shared passion and who are incredibly loyal (you might notice similarities between this badge and our first logo.. it was a homage, ok??)

3. Our people: our name was always intended to describe and unite our people (like the two influences above). You don't need to have your initials in the company name or your surname on the door to matter. The Royals are a united collective, a team, a family. You, me, everybody. Everybody!
