Introducing Battle Stars, our new mobile sports game

July 22, 2013

Colour us excited! The team at The Royals have developed a new mobile game called Battle Stars. It is a game you play while you watch live AFL football. It’s fun, social and a bit strategic We’re going to get it out in the wild by time the finals roll around this year. But in the meantime, we’re looking for beta testers to help us get a sense of what works, what might need to be tweaked and any general impressions. If you have an iPhone (or another iOS device) and a willingness to play a few times in August in front of AFL on TV,  we’d love it if you’d consider helping us out by signing up at:

http://signup.battlestars.com.au

We’ll be asking for some feedback along the way but it won’t be too time consuming. If you like footy, games, banter or any combo thereof, we think you’re going to get a kick out of Battle Stars.

Thanks!

A bit more about Battle Stars:

It’s a mobile game where you compete against mates during live AFL matches by strategically assigning players to fictional roles. Scoring on the leaderboard is determined by your chosen player’s real-game stats. You can also play wildcards to speed up your progress and power-up your efforts, smack down others or strategically sub in other AFL players for your roles. It’s a live, footy fantasy sports video game for you and your mates.
